Trouble Every Day

Look, we’re all human. Even if we prefer to think of ourselves as dark-dwelling, bloodthirsty creatures, there is always something that will remind us that we’re just big sacks of goo that can easily be dismantled – or forget to hit record on our podcast. We dive deeper than we maybe have before this week and face new elements of existential crisis tackling our first foray (at least on the show) into New French Extremity (a term you will hear us say ad nauseam, so apologies in advance). We are also somewhat proud to say that after 60+ episodes of recording we have yet to do something truly silly like forget to press that pesky record button – until today. Happy first episode recorded in 2023! We’d love to tell you we’re coming in all “new year, new us”, but f*ck that… that’s not why you’re here. Happy 2023 SHUD-dy Buddies! We’re sailing over the roiling seas once again to Indonesia where we revisit one of our most favorite filmmakers, Joko Anwar, and his new flick, SATAN’S SLAVES 2: COMMUNION. We haven’t been more excited for a release since, well, Joko’s last movie so color us stoked! We also get into some of our final watches of 2022 which leads up to our Year in Re-Spew, which is already out! Check that bad boy out if you haven’t already.
