It’s time to grab a handful of your favorite poisonous fungus and take a trip back to 17th century England as the SHUD-crew attempts to navigate Ben Wheatley’s hallucinogenic tale of friendship and venereal disease, A FIELD IN ENGLAND. We let Cody go full Cody as he attempts to guide us, not unlike a metaphysical shaman, through the quagmire with his manifesto of madness. Austin takes revelry (as do we all) in seeing how many bits Cody can misunderstand. Lucas surprises the group with some nature facts. And Curtis yells about Halloween: H20. So, things are normal...

Near Dark

The S.H.U.D.cast survived Austin’s bachelor party! And so did some incriminating surveillance video! We come to you after taking one week off (but let’s face it, it felt like a lifetime) to bring you the husks of our former selves talking about all of the recent horrors we watched, including throwing a good heaping of love on The Suicide Squad, our enjoyment of the fact that Cody doesn’t understand how to do a bit, Curtis fully expresses his love for Twilight, which all leads into our discussion of the neo-western, guttersludge masterpiece of vampire grime, NEAR DARK. Maniac Cop -athon!

Comin at ya live, in the past! We tried our hand at livestreaming our horror shenanigans for the first time so if you tuned in there, tune in again for the stripped down, slick and shiny audio of our Maniac Cop-athon! Amongst our discussions: Cody tries to make “sBaced” a thing, Austin gets heated about athletes being actors (and most other things, frankly), Curtis admits his love for an oft-derided series of movies, and Lucas JAMS us full with his anger toward one particular new release.
